The Impossible Dream adalah lagu yang digubah oleh Mitch Leigh, dengan lirik yang ditulis oleh Joe Darion. Lagu ini merupakan lagu yang paling populer dari musikal Broadway berjudul La Mancha (1965) dan juga sebuah film dengan judul yang sama pada tahun 1972 yang dibintangi oleh Peter O'Toole.
Dalam pertunjukan musikal, satu kali lagu ini dinyanyikan oleh Don Quixote saat sedang berjaga, lengkap dengan senjata, sebagai jawaban dari pertanyaan Aldonza (Dulcinea) tentang apa yang dimaksud dengan "following the quest". Kemudian lagu tersebut dinyanyikan kembali sebanyak tiga kali - yang terakhir kali dinyanyikan oleh Miguel de Cervantes dan pelayannya ketika melewati jembatan gantung- sebagai seorang tawanan yang akan menghadapi pengadilan Spanish Inquisiton.
